Config file goes into the same folder as the minecraft_server.jar file.

That might be due to people not being off work / school now, but it's a possibility.

Re: Any way to Repair items in BTW

Do you by chance have any video or images of your set up? Here's a link to where I got the design from. TaterBoy made an amazing mob trap (from what I've heard it was actually killing the Wasteland server's CPU). Since it's a little hard to figure out the sizing, I'll list it for you: Each spawning...

Re: Problems accessing the forum

Yep, I'm having the same issue. It'll log me out a good 3-5 times a day, and only load pages about a third of the time.

I'll take it though, since we're lucky enough to have a site to use.

Re: Annoyance since Pretty Scary Update

That sounds like a chunk loading issue with the redstone again. I'm guessing at the real cause by saying that, but it is known. I wouldn't worry about it. Yes it sucks, but it might be best to have a kill switch as a backup.

Re: Annoyance since Pretty Scary Update

Ah yeah that does help a lot. There's something funky about redstone and pistons. They have a habit of messing up when the chunk gets unloaded, such as when you go to the Nether. So in that case it's a normal thing.

Re: Any way to Repair items in BTW

I have actually tried the hoppers and mobtraps and seen very slow returns. Depends on the size of the trap and the number of hoppers. I made a 3 hopper, 16 7x7 spawning pad mob trap and I managed to get about 15 levels each empty. Once you figure out the correct size and combine that with an enchan...

Re: Annoyance since Pretty Scary Update

I honestly am not sure what to say to help with all the points except for sound (Sorry about that I've just never been good at figuring that out). With your sound issue, try hitting "S" and "F3", it'll reset the sound. In order to tell if it worked, when you hit the two keys toge...

Re: Where do you find space?

I personally build above ground, and just light up a massive area that I think I'll need. As I need more room, I simply expand that wall of torches so that it is a good 50-60 blocks away from the outer edge of my buildings. However, once I start to make permanent structures, I'll build underground, ...

Re: Mob trap science: how big should I go?

I just started work on my own mob trap, and I know exactly how you feel trying to design this. The area you have planned out that's below sea level I would personally use for the sorting system. From there, the height I would use, (depending on if you want to see a massive tower or not), would be ab...

If you have an iron beacon it *may* be possible that it has something to do with it. Other than that, I truly have no idea what it could be.

Re: Got 2 teeth of wisdom extracted

I haven't had to take out any myself yet, but I had a friend who did, 4 or 5 years ago. When she took the first one out, she did exactly what the dentist said (I can't remember what it was, but it was on eating habits and washing the teeth) and had very little pain and quick healing. The next one s...

Re: No sound after install

A tip to the people that suffer from this sound-bug: When you press F3 and S, Minecraft reloads the sounds. So if you're having this problem pressing those two might fix it. (I've seen a couple of cases in which this didn't work, but if it does, it saves you the trouble of quiting and restarting th...

Dinnerbone posted an interesting picture. It seems that mob spawners can now be placed in minecarts. As a warning, the picture is quite large.
