I know you already have the BedFinder ability, and this is similar. But perhaps have a similar ability that allows them to hunt out mob spawners. Terriers were bred for their ability to find the homes of small game animals. Might be too OP, but it's an idea.

Viscous and slow-moving, seems to me like we need to be able to fill our buckets with the blood of the innocent. Sounds Netheresque enough for me. All joking aside, I like the concept, regardless of whether or not it was already planned.

Tried it out, really fun, but you know, I have no hope of a career in rocket science. Way too many flags got delivered to the doors of my astronauts' families.

Go for it. If you feel like it was too intrusive a move to begin with, coding-wise, then the best course of action would be to remedy the actions of the past. We'll all live with it. Especially since the decision seems to be for the greater good of the mod.

Honestly, I think that Harvestcraft was an excellent supplement with BTW. It added a lot of life to the world, even if you didn't go on an all out farming spree. Kinda disappointed I'll be losing compatibility with that one after the Forge shakedown. Oh well. A decent one, if it ever gets updated ag...
