Actually the flags/banners are mostly ready. I just need to pretty them up some more I think. I also need more flag textures. The only one I have right now is the "Better Than Wolves" flag. I forget what the minecraft flags look like, but I'm almost certain that mine have more detail, but...

just curious, but will the hardcore grass thing break any underground wool farms? Just curious, but are you still planning on bringing banners to BTW? And will they function like paintings(static textures) rather than customisable(like vMC)?

Ice has really specific conditions for placement. It can only be placed in cold biomes with sun access. Not even under a tree. or underground. or underwater. Its very sad that such a pretty alternative to glass is so difficult to build with.

the clay balls should go into the kiln along with the urn. after that its just a matter of how you want to get the finished urn(and clay balls) into an item collector.

If you want full clay recycling, go talk to someone else. that's still theoretically possible, but a whole different can of worms.

push the urn into the kiln. it sacrifices some efficiency as I have to replace a hibachi with axles for the turntable.

my design puts a HC packing autopottery right next to a kiln. timing is done with a piston feedtape.

It works well for farming squids in general, and any errant facehuggers that chase me while I'm working on the beach are easily led into the trap for easy disposal.

even if not so, 500 blocks in the nether is still more than enough time to infect them.

Jack is correct. brown mushrooms need absolute darkness to grow, red mushrooms can be grown in lit corners of your base.

FC changed that particular bit, iirc. said floating tripwires were causing cheaty item detection, like pressureplates on fences. hm. Changed creepers so that they will not drop records if deoystered. They're just too depressed to appreciate good music anymore. Changed trip wires to no longer be able...

So, if you do terraform with cement, ghasts will start spawning in problematic numbers? That is correct as far as i know. Its better to use groth for exteriors. Hindsight, should have specified nether fort mobs instead of nether mobs. I already know about ghasts being everywhere. Rather than worry ...
