Re: Connected Textures Mod Discussion and Information
So I'm going to work on getting us as much CTM information as possible, in addition to potentially talking to those mod makers about potential additions that would extend functionality to Better than Wolves. Making CTM work for us: As far as contacting the author of CTM, we may have some issues. Ap...

Re: Question about Old versus New Smooth Stone Pedastals
I'm sure you may have heard about the CTM mod that is a part of MCPatcher Edzy, the ideal solution is for us, to make an addon that adds support for CTM textures. I know that MCPatcher is opensource, but I have no idea about CTM. Could you look into that for me? That is see if you can find the sour...

Re: Dinnerbone in BTW MCF thread
It's good news that someone from Mojang is not just listening but taking part of the conversation. Even if his responses are a bit disappointing. Maybe in private he will open up. It's hard to talk frankly when you are in the spotlight. And FC said everything that I wish I could ask of Mojang. Very ...

Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.3 alpha for MC1.4.5 and BTW4.
Woohoo, my favorite BTW addon is current once again! :) Er... one question, though, since I don't currently have a "safe" way to test it without potentially ruining my worlds - I know there is no SMP support but will this work okay with LAN play? Oh, I've been playing with it on the LAN. ...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
One question. If you're going to go Total Conversion is there any reason you couldn't give yourself the 8 bits of meta data that you were wishing for? Thanks for mentioning that Sar. I don't know if it will be practical, but it's certainly worth investigating. I'm glade that my suggestion percolate...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
I'd go with option 2. And go ahead with extending blockIDs yourself. Remember that forge has done this, so there could be some potential for collaboration, on a world convertor utility. Also while your at it, why not extend blocks to 8 bits of metadata.. I'd go as far as to share that idea with the ...

Quick feature request, a way to sort fruit in a water flow. I seem to recall FC adding a function for Add-On's to how items get sorted in the hopper. Can't find it in the release notes, so maybe I imagined that.. Another idea would be change each fruit's buoyancy, thus when in a water flow it enters...

Re: Personally Satisfying Aspects of BTW?
For me it's building the absolute most compact device I can come up with. It borders on fetishistic. I'll get a working version of a machine made in about ten minutes. Then I'll spend hours redesigning, refining and compacting it until my brain is overworked and I have to sleep. Then I'll come back...

Re: Personally Satisfying Aspects of BTW?
Two things,
The Block Dispenser, and the Hopper.
Now, that I've moved on to advanced redstone stuff, I'm so very taken with the Block Dispenser.
It enables so many builds, that just wouldn't be possible, otherwise.
How hoppers work, and filtering stuff, is my other obsession.

I'm sure at some point we will be able to do more cooking with raw eggs.
Who knows maybe we be able to throw them and get egg on each other.

Cool.
I had updated, it for my own enjoyment. Figured I should at lest offer to share.
Having source code has really helped me learn about modding.
Thanks for posting it.

Re: Sargunster's BTW Addon [v2.2 alpha for MC1.3.2 and BTW4.
Sargunster, I've update most of the code for your addon to 1.4.2. There was one function I couldn't figure what it did. something about item color? There are a few graphical gliches, properly related to that function I couldn't figure out. I have not tested everything. However Fruit trees are spawni...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of October 23rd)
It would be funny if someone popped in a Mojang bug report demanding that the vanilla "Cauldron" needs to be changed to "cistern" due to FC's reasoning. I'd vote it up. As fun as it would be to troll, Mojang. Let's not. They don't have the...^H^H^H^H^H, let's call it wisdom, to ...

Cake Recipe?
Has anyone made a cake recently?
I can't seem to craft it.
I thought that the only change to the recipe was flour replacing wheat.
I feel silly asking about this, but I really wanted some cake..

Re: An honest critique of BTW 4.2x
I've been thinking about the OP all day. The changes in 4.2x have also changed my play style. For the first time, I when back to my spawn point and built a house there. Including a portal to the nether, and a portal back on the nether side. This wasn't an easy build, because my original nether porta...

Re: Chicken automation / Swimming vs nesting chickens
I still use the same chicken farm I always did. Push chickens into a village well, dig down the outside a few meters and install hoppers underneath. Seeds float to the top to be eaten, raw eggs sink to be collected by the hoppers. Add dispensers on a timer to toss in seeds and crack the occasional ...

What do you guys thing about the endermen Mythos, from Ask the Endermen?
I'm liking the idea that Endermen are obsessed with Form. And can only pickup things with Seams.
