Re: Design Discussion: The Nuking of maps
The problem with just removing the player indicators is that you just need to make a new map, and you are at the centre of the area being explored. It's a bit more work, but doing that with a filled out map in your inventory of the same area would make for having the indicator back again ... That b...

Re: Design Discussion: The Nuking of maps
I LOVE the fact that you are making a game YOU want to play, and see how they mess anarchy play. I was looking forward to hanging up the new maps and showing my kingdom, also planning on playing with them more in general now that F3 is gone. Thank you for trying to find a way to keep them in game fo...

Re: Mc patcher CTM and BTW ?
I had connected textures working in previous release, but haven't tested 1.4.2. I would suggest only checking HD textures / fonts and connected textures. Make sure that BTW is the last mod installed so it will overwrite the other files as needed.

Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation
Looks like they have fixed the items getting stuck in blocks a little too well. "pistonless" item elevator in 1.4.3 pre-release Jump to 30~ seconds in to see it in action. dBJLXGiBh8A From what I am gathering it looks like if you force an item into a solid 3x3 structure it will continue to...

Re: nether chickens: ideas?
Right, if I was using that in a sorting system.
The hoppers are unpowered and the dirt is just a placeholder until I have enough eggs. I see it as the same level of exploit as chickens eating seeds through a corner of a block.

Thanks for the response. That is a little bit of a price jump from the home mediabox. :) Normally I would take this to a PM but I think the info would benefit others. Would you mind if I ask you a few questions? What your experience with them? How hard does a BTW world hit that box? What is the serv...

Odd that I haven't seen anyone else mention it, but I always place torches facing back the way I came. ? I always place torches facing the opposite direction I am moving. This way the torches always point to the way out. For larger cave systems there could be some overlapping tunnels, but I can alw...

The thing to think about with the Hobo code is the transfer of important information it is not a roadmap of how to travel The Hobo Minecraft way of life is about freedom to do as you please, no one telling you how to live mine. This is why I say throw 'always place torches on the left/right' argumen...

take a look at the op of the server threads here. Many of them contain that information. :edit: it looks like I am bad at reading OP posts :edit: Most of them only list IP address or White/Black lists. While I was compiling a list to prove you wrong I notices some things that didn't jump out the fi...

Like Dumbassturtle, I also hate limited timed events even though I do have my TF2 earbuds. I think it could work if it went off of minecraft days. This way if I needed my eastereggs I just needed to play more minecraft, a win win.

Request for more more BTW Mod spotlight videos
I was wondering if one of the nice people who do 'let's plays' or live stream would be up for refreshing the mod spotlight videos? I tried installing B2 the way you describe. I still get the texture mash-up. Could it be related to something else? Please define texture mash-up (see bellow) and what do you mean something else? Did you install other mods? Hmm trying B2 seems to let me play, but displays alternate little textures ...

If you want a rock climbing puzzle go play the first tomb raider, the poly-count is about the same. :DDaveYanakov wrote:If it works with corners and moulding I may have to give it a shot as well. Saw it most of a year ago and passed on it then but a rock climbing puzzle could be interesting.

Re: A Method To Locate Dungeons
I may be wrong, but I believe that if you craft stone bricks, place them and then break them, there is a random chance of getting the cracked or the mossy version. At least in 1.8, unless that changed. I personally cannot get Stone Bricks to produce Cracked/Mossy Stone Bricks when destroyed. I am h...
