Re: Version 4.AAAAAAAAAAHHHH Spoilers in Spoilers
The only thing I found in that regard for the time being is Using clay ovens as a two spot chests. I also ave a desert near, i might explore it in case there's chests there. And while on that topic I don't know if i'm the only one, but i'm keeping my brick oven on so i don't have to light it again b...

Re: Nether Fortress (Survival tip)
Be extremely careful when diging diagonal lines to make stairs. In a flat tunel lava is mannageable, lava flooding the entire stairs not so much.

Re: No audio but mod is working
The game downloads the audio after starting. It's not downloaded with the initial download in the jar. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for the sounds to start working. Also, BTW re-uses vanilla sounds for it's sounds, changing speed, pitch and volume.

Re: Dirt Slabs have wrong colour with MCPatcher
I mainly work looking at java code that doesn't work and figuring out why. With the pointers from gaga654 it was quite easy. And don't worry about it, I completely understand that in any time using MCPatcher could stop being feasible and have no problem with it. I only use it for that vanilla CTM pa...

Re: Dirt Slabs have wrong colour with MCPatcher
I think I've found it. The code MCPatcher uses to get the dirt slab is: Block block = null; try { Field field = Class.forName("FCBetterThanWolves").getDeclaredField("fcBlockDirtSlabID"); field.setAccessible(true); block = BlockAPI.getBlockById(field.getInt(null)); } catch (Throwa...

yeah, I just checked and MCPatcher author, Khar, hasn't been active there since 2015. So there's a chance we are out of luck here.

Re: Sphax Texture Pack for BTW 4.A7 Squid A Swimming
This should probably be reported on the MCPatcher thread on the minecraft forums, the author alredy did some fixes when MCPatcher was incompatible with Better than wolves because of Hardcore Darkness, iirc.

Well, Coal actually is one of the things you can add to the millstone. That's how you make coal dust, isn't it?

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.A9 Pustules Lancing) - NO SPOILERS
In my current world, I,m about to reach crucible tech without diying once. I just need to crush and filter the netherrack for the hibachi.
This release is making me both afraid of diying, and wanting me to die to see what happens.

Re: Best Early Use of Jungle Temple Loot
Have a windmill? Don't want it to destroy gearboxes? I always put a switch at the bottom of my windmills, the switch toggles a piston that disconnects the topmost gearbox from the windmill. Isn't it easier to send the signal to the gearbox directly? I personally use the pistons for zombie proof doo...

Re: Nether Fortress (Survival tip)
I like to dig three high tunnels in the netherrack ceiling, and use stone slabs to make the walkway as I go. This gives a faster movement rate, and also if you slab as you go, if you do open a lava block, it stops at the stone slab, so at worst I'm only one or two blocks away and can close off the ...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
Can you rephrase that? I don't understand what you mean. He means you can't place flour, clay amd raw pottery as a block on top of glass, the same way you can't place torches. This makes his auto-kiln not work because the block dispenser tries to put the blocks on a glass block instead of a validly...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.A7 Squid A Swimming) - NO SPOILERS
I read that growth-spawning mechanics are changed. Gathering from dawnraider's photo and how FC said it would result in "a hot mess," I'm of the impression that the pumpkin-gourd will spawn in on any adjacent-available tile, whether or not it's occupied by something like a neighboring pum...

Re: Who (or what?) is Steve? Why is he here?
I, too, am dissuaded away from the Team Evil concept. I am, however, perplexed by the backstory implications of the enchanting system. "Infernal" enchanters. Leveled priest villagers. Enchanter libraries as a sort of necromancy-capacitor. Steve is some sort of former-mob. Maybe a cured vi...

Re: Who (or what?) is Steve? Why is he here?
Ok counterpoint time... The undead monsters and hellspawn that appear around steve are clearly not his friends as they persistently try to kill him. Perhaps Steve is the victim here. He is being imprisoned and tortured, but not for long. Perhaps he will not be welcomed when he returns home. Yeah, I...

I tested both coordinates in that seed. Original Spawn is at 160, 256 -38720, 75, -17200 Village has wheat and windows have glass, but villagers are zombies 48327, 75, 3096 Completely abandoned no glass, no villagers and no wheat(abandoned fields). Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
I just had a wild idea about nerfing pumpkins/melons. What if they require bonemeal in the farmland/planter for the pumpkin or melon to grow. The plant itself would grow normally, but need fertilising for the actual fruit to grow.

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
For the hopper minecart thing. The current block dispenser to empty the car would be great if items didn't get thrown all over the place, even going through walls. An alternative way to do this, as expensive and bluky as the current system, that allowed to safely drop the items from thecart would be...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
One thing I always thought of was having different wood types needed for different blocks, for example jungle wood needed for axles and gearboxes for its flexibility, spruce for pumps for water resistant... it would incentivice farming/collecting all the different kind of trees. It would also keep t...

Re: Tamed wolves disappearing?
Not sure if how any of the mod's additions interact with this. Some things could have changed in vanilla since 1.5.2 too. But in general terms I think that pretty much sums it all.
