Re: Recent Movie Reviews [Avoid Spoilers]

Interstellar: Cinematics were awesome! Science was delivered in basic enough terms that those not understanding would still accept. The action/scifi was balanced with enough drama to satisfy those that prefer dialog. Performances were believable and well delivered. Personal rating 4/5. When I saw G...

Re: Factorio: A game all about automation

I've been really frustrated that they've been so focused on multiplayer and graphics for the last six months. I just hope they have a bunch of unannounced features besides tanks, gates, and mobile spitters. Yup, it's largely been the same for me. Don't give a damn about multiplayer and am "wha...

Re: Factorio: A game all about automation

I just love this art! Reminds me of all the good old games. With current progress and a roadmap to 2015 this is going to be one of my great beta buys. http://assets-factorio-com.s3.amazonaws.com/img/blog/fff-57-spitters.jpg Source: http://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-57 Yeah, I've been following ...

I've been following this game for quite some time. But 30 euros? Really? I've suddenly become reluctant. Probably I'll just wait for some reviews.

Re: KSP .24 Feedback

I gotta say I got bored almost instantly. Didn't pay any attention to money, because it is abundant and gaining science is even more trivial than previously on vanilla. I gained ~ 100 science from my first flight, taking all the missions and achieving orbit. Myself, I'm often cheap and like when som...

Re: Factorio: A game all about automation

So I've bought the game as well, all is well except the fact that I can't find the optimal generation settings for me. I'm looking for something that involves a lot of transporting from one place to another (to use trains), as well as adding extra biters for difficulty. Always when I generate a new ...

Re: [SPOILERZ] Hardcore Villagers trading mechanics.

Has anyone unlockeld the level 4 on a priest villager? I'm interested to see what they've got to offer. AFAIK, it requires a vessel of the dragon, which I have yet to find.

Re: Jack-O-Lanterns and Glowstone Hardcore movement

Does anyone know how jack-o-lanterns and Glowstone fit into hardcore movement? Are they good to walk on, or are they better at the side of a road? I'm sure you could have tested such a trivial thing yourself. Just put them alongside dirt/grass and you'll see since walking on dirt/grass has the defa...

Re: [SPOILERZ] Hardcore Villagers trading mechanics.

Since this is a spoiler thread, I won't put any spoiler tabs. My discoveries so far: As you trade with villagers, they get levels. The amount of "+" represent how much xp villagers will gain from this transaction. If there are no pluses a villager won't get any xp from that trade. As villa...

Allright, thanks guys. I guess I'll go with dawnraider's design (which looks awesome btw), if I'm up for it, otherwise I'll just have do it without the chopping blocks.

Why would I need to kill it in the first place? Maybe I've missed something, as I said this save is quite old.

Thats exactly what I did. But the other mobs won't drop down in the holes before the gap.

Mob traps: Mob filtering

Recently dug up my old BTW world and got addicted again. I've reached steel already, have a couple of automated farms, decided that I'd should really finally build a legit mob trap. I have the basic structure done, now I'm building the killing part of the trap. I also decided not to discriminate spi...

I wanna join this specific server because I'm feeling somewhat alone, and there are almost no servers now. Depends. Usually starting underground, but when I have a foothold, I expand u...

Re: Better Than Starting Manned (Flower's WIP KSP mod )

Ah, thanks for releasing this before you were totally done. So far the balance is really good. I seem to just barely able to get the science I need for the next node. That's true. Also, early manned missions are hardcore. Most of my designs survive the small reentry but the parachutes will explode ...
