Re: My Silly Flash Videos
I prefer using sprites for animation in anything *but* flash, tbh. Flash just doesn't work that way, lol. Then again, I might just be much more comfortable with them because 99% of my childhood was spent with RPG makers.

Hah. I used to do the same sort of thing, except it was usually mostly stick figure fights with over the top bs like constant hadoukens and explosives. Good times... :)

Hm. I can't tell if this looks *actually* interesting or if my inner 10-year old is freaking out over the prospect of riding dinosaurs. Either way, I'm probably going to get this.

I've been wanting to learn German for a while... Seriously, Auf Wiedersehen is the most fun way in the world to say goodbye.Gormador wrote:I love German so much.
First language I learned, never regretted it. And I for one think it is a really nice language to listen to (well, depends of the accent ...).

Back to the OP's question. While these are not usually the genres this forum enjoys, I am having a lot of fun with clash of clans and bloons tower defense. I game on my phone only casually, and these games are perfect for a casual player. BTD has always been a personal favorite series of mine. Asid...

Are you me? Because, yeah exactly the same. Used to be intj, tested as istj more recently. I did some personality and aptitude tests when I was trying to decide what degree I wanted. I leaned those tests are worthless and only tell someone what they already know. Plus totally ineffective on me sinc...

I was an INTJ when I was younger, but I took that test again a couple years ago and got ISTJ. I honestly for the life of me can't even remember what that means though.

There are also plenty of open source mods you could take a peek at, seeing how others have pulled things off helps.

Following links on games posted in this thread has lead me to Pixel Dungeon. I don't quite understand how the game works yet.. lol. But I'm enjoying the journey so far. I've actually seen that one, and almost grabbed it, but it didn't look too special. I'm interested to know what you think of it on...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
In the second part of their conversation Grum sais they will drop multiplayer support for older version in the future. Meaning people won't be able to log in on the servers. This would kill multiplayer btw :( Well I think that the 'online-mode' option in the server.properties file would allow conne...

Feature overview by the guys that created it: http://youtu.be/jpXBKXJlybg Admittedly, pretty darn cool :) I find it unfortunate it's associated with such a butt-ugly block though. Is going to make redstone contraptions look pretty shitty. Oh god, it didn't even occur to me that you could make self-...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Hm. Slime blocks will be *very* fun to play with. Still, it has very little impact on actual survival play, and, if Eloraam's frames are any indication, took a TON of time to get working.

So, I've been playing a lot of phone games lately. Are there any you guys recommend? I've personally been hooked on a lot of the Puzzle/RPG hybrids, the big ones are Dungeon Raid , Ten Million , Block Legend , and Pixel Defenders Puzzle . There's also a neat little sim called Game Dev Story . Also, ...

Re: Questions about server hosting
Fragnet is what was used for the "Official" btw server when that was around. MCProHosting is my personal favorite, though. They do allow for custom mods, unlike a lot of others. Multiplay is also decent, but just too pricey for what you get.

Yeah, it seems like the biggest issue here is the negative levels. With how often you'll die in the early game, it does *not* need to get harder each death

Beware the blight, a dread disease that can afflict your crops and ruin their yield That was the only *literal* similarity to BTW, but it's a very tiny one, and honestly, judging by the overall goals of the mod, it may very well be an homage to BTW. I may actually give it a shot, but a lot of it fe...

They do? The only one that pops in to my head would be "dick" but I'd equivalate that more to "twat" myself. Please enlighten me, I'm always eager to add on to my vocabulary, expletive or not. I more meant how calling someone a dick has the same sort of connotation to it as call...

I remember I had a rather nasty argument with a girlfriend once over my occasional use of the word "cunt" for exactly that reason... Hah, I've gotta say, as offensive as the word is, I've never heard it's use defended quite so well. I honestly never even had the thought of both genders ha...
