Re: Gnomoria, Dwarf Fortress lite.

my reaction to it is "meh"

It is prettier than DF but honestly it lacks so much.

I am sure that one day toady will get around to fixing the ui etc. and when that happens it will blow all the wannabees away.

Re: Can't...get...Sabbath...outta...my...head

One thought that occured to me awhile ago, was that there was probably a fair amount of crap music from times like the 60's and 70's, but only the good stuff made it. And there are quite a few good bands out there. many of whom are drowned out by the crap. But I think that the really good stuff will...

Re: Universal time

What I was asking about was the ability to say it's (x) o clock here so it is also (x) o clock on mars. or wherever. which also means if you are in the eastern hemisphere of mars it is (x) o clock and the same if you are on the western hemisphere. the whole point was something that made timezones ob...

Deactivating extreme lurk mode temporarily to say this: There are books set in this universe too. Look up "The Myst Reader" by Rand Miller, Robyn Miller and David Wingrove if you haven't already read it. It contains three books; "The book of Atrus", "The book of Ti'ana"...

I suppose. It just occured to me as I was thinking about science fiction that with mutliple planets would there be universal time that everyone used, as the day/night cycle became mostly obsolete.

Is there a universal time? Let me explain. is there a "timezone" that everyone can relate to not relevant to where they happen to be on the earth? Random though but doggonit I am curious.
