Re: Eldritch (Game)
Having gotten a bit further... It's better than I thought :) The main thing that was off-putting was that it was just so damn easy. You could just freely run around killing anything that posed a threat, no problem. But now, having beaten the last 2 areas, it gets much harder, and much cooler. In the...

Eldritch (Game)
http://www.eldritchgame.com/ Just grabbed this for 7.50 on steam, and I'm enjoying it so far. It's a first-person roguelike in a Lovecraftian atmosphere. I originally bought it because of how heavily it seemed to take after Lovecraft, but honestly, it doesn't go a good job of recreating that sort of...

Re: How to control the future
Granted, I haven't study much quantum mechanics, and just know the basics... But it's always seemed, to me, to stem from our inability to perceive things past a certain point. We can make estimations, but probability seems to play a large part in it. That, to me, wouldn't disprove that all possible ...

I've used Lua a bit, mostly in tandem with Love2D. Love2D is actually what was used for Mari0 (SMB with the Portal Gun), which I'm sure somebody here has at least tried out.

Re: BTW Exposure
It would be a very different mod to be sure. When that video launched, I was designing steam power as my next addition, and had been leading up to it for awhile (for example, the original intended use for Tanned Leather was for machine belts). The chaos that resulted sent me for such a loop that th...

I took that as he doesn't usually look at mods, not as him saying he didn't play it. Then again, I take most things the wrong way, lol

He didn't actually try it, but just liked what he saw in the video. To my knowledge he's never played *any* MC mods, and that's the only time he's directly acknowledged one (or at least was certainly the first). I think it's a matter of principle for him, which I can understand given I avoid playin...

Out of curiosity, what's the biggest exposure BTW has gotten, than you've seen? I noticed this picture a few minutes ago, and never realized Notch himself had tried BTW:

Re: How to control the future
Not to one-up you Al, but the simplest answer is simply: conservation of energy :) Any time you see a perpetual motion machine design, you can be certain that somewhere energy is being lost that you aren't accounting for. It will either (1) do no work, or (2) slow down and stop. The caveat is, you ...

More 9's are just inherently better! You know though, I suspect I'm suffering from this gag more than anyone else at present. The number of times I've had to squint and count 9's to verify I'm dealing with the right files is getting a tad out of control :) I thought you decided this was going to be...

Hah, I'm already enjoying this a LOT. I just got the stone thing from the cyclops, where it makes you do that weird tile puzzle. Would the other 2 stones just come from Hell and the Developer? I'm not near tough enough to fight them yet, I've just got enchanted Monkey staff, enchanted knight's armor...

Re: Terraria PC update apparently in the works, due Mayish.
So, in 1.2, there were some neat developer items added in. There were several Outfits/Wings, such as Red's Wings, Cenx's Tiara, etc. Me and a few other admins on the server I've been playing on decided to give ourselves Red's Wings (Infinite flight + Sprinting + Neat effect) and a developer outfit. ...

Also news: Terraria 2 will happen Source: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/10/03/terraria-2-announced/ Huh. I hope it will be more, for lack of a better term, balanced. Having more thoughtful progression (Not just gear-wise) would make Terraria a lot better, imo. Like with how it was mentioned ...
