Re: Show us your builds!
My friend and I play on this world, He's the architect, I'm more of an engineer. We have two bases in this world, the first one is mostly abandoned, with the exception of a still functioning mob trap. We got cramped and wanted a better location, so we moved to a nearby swamp as soon as we defeated t...

Re: Language Packs for Better than Wolves
The messages we probably can't change are things like: - The chat error message when placing a windmill incorrectly - The chat error message that you can't sleep - The text indicating you are in gloom/terror I agree, those are a lost cause, I don't know where to start with those. I am mostly just t...

Re: Language Packs for Better than Wolves
Okay. You guys are mostly right. I've just looked at the code. One thing that can be done though...(and this was the original idea a friend and I had while we were playing and beer drinking) We can override block/item names of the current language that is loaded. In other words, you could create a n...

Re: Language Packs for Better than Wolves
The problem you'd likely encounter with this is that I never coded BTW for ease of localization / translation. It's got strings scattered throughout the code as a result, and given it was a hobby project, I never felt inclined to change that. Last time I checked each langauge is just a hashmap of u...

Language Packs for Better than Wolves
A while ago I had a thought...Minecraft supports a lot of languages, but Better than Wolves only has English available. I know for a fact it's not hard to programatically assign a name to an Item or a Block in the game to a language, these names could be listed in simple file that maps unlocalized n...

Re: Spontaneous chunk reversion?
Just a thought, if you've got a world that you've used deco addons in, don't start that world without any of those deco addons, otherwise you risk corruption. If you want to do this anyways, please backup your world before doing it.

Hey guys, I pushed some new changes today.
They include some new rare flowers that can only be obtained from planters.
Planters no longer grow rosebushes.
A bug with ClaySubBlocks on the server was fixed

Are you saying there is something more going on besides the dog just tilting his head because the player is holding food?Gilberreke wrote:I know exactly what the dog is doing there, but I'd never seen it affect the player in that way.ion wrote:really?

Re: [V2.1] The Deco Add-On. Now separated into multiple piec
Bump for new version. Everything is on Github now. So the newest release version will always be on github. This includes the source, the compiled class files, 16 bit and 32 bit textures. Note there is a new system for enabling/disabling addons. Please note that if you do not add the addonconfig.txt ...

Re: Farming: Dung, Blazes, and monsters in general.
But water can't flow in the nether, so what are your guys creative ways of getting blazes and other mobs to be swept into a killing machine in the nether? Pistons is one answer, but pistons are incredibly expensive if you're trying to build a large scale farm.

SockThing is officially part of the Deco Addon team. He has been working on his own stuff for the Deco Addon and we will be releasing it here.

I don't know how I missed this TP before. It's got the retro feel that I like but it seems more minimalist than the vanilla textures.

Re: [V2.0b] The Deco Add-On. Now separated into multiple pie
Sorry. I'll have to create a list of recipes and keep track of it. I've been polishing the new update for a while now, adding the clay sub blocks and polishing a few other features. I squashed the fireworks bug, and I found a bug that has to do with panes that I also squashed. It's been slow lately ...

Re: [V2.0b] The Deco Add-On. Now separated into multiple pie
No, I may add them at some point. There was a reason why I didn't originally add them, but I forgot what it was. One time I made changes that actually made panes look 3D and it was really neat, they looked a lot nicer than vanilla. I'll probably do that, it's just a lot of time I have to sit there a...

Yeah I think I can do that, but if it turns out to be too complicated I might not(it shouldn't be).
Also my hostname was down for the last few days, but I just put it back up...just in case anyone was trying to download.

Re: How to dung farm?
Essentially this is sock's design, but with a timer(it ticks every few seconds or so, I want it to tick less often) The timer is connected to the wolves' food dispenser. Whenever there is food on the pressure plate, the timers' signal is cut off(via piston). What this means is that when a doggo eats...

Yes, I have the same design as sockthing. It's the only dung farm I have ever needed. We have STACKS AND STACKS OF SHIT. If we ever make it back from our current journey (taking a priest back to base). I'll post a picture of it. Of course it does break every now and then, and that usually happens wh...

Oh I see what you mean. I guess I thought you were talking about something else. Thatched roofing would be cool but I don't have any idea how I would do it.
