Re: Games suitable for kids

Sid Meyer`s Alpha Centauri StarTopia C&C Tiberia Sun Anno 1602 Maybe also it`s sequels. Are you seriously recommending Alpha Centauri for a six-year old? It's a great game, but I think you're vastly overestimating the intelligence level of the average kid. I'd like to suggest Botanicula - a ver...

Must have missed that change when it happened.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Welcome to Edolas (Server information)

One thing wonders me,

with the option to turn off HCS removed, as in constantly on, that Spawn protection is still working when according to the
wiki it should not.

Would it be possible to replace the config-file for btw with the current one, to see if it resolves this.

Re: Games suitable for kids

Hmmm, tough one.

Maybe Sim City, not the newest one mind you ;)
Other than that maybe strategy or adventure.

Titles that come to my mind are:
Sid Meyer`s Alpha Centauri
StarTopia
C&C Tiberia Sun
Anno 1602 Maybe also it`s sequels.

Re: RTS Game Design Question: Upkeep to complex?

You could replace fuel as a stat with operating range. Give each unit a certain distance that it can operate from the nearest supply source indicated with a visual overlay of a circle or sphere. It would be vastly simplified as 'fueling operations' could be considered automatic within that radius a...

Would also appreciate a video which shows what you are working on.
As I may have one or two thoughts regarding your conundrum, but can't yet determine
if they are helpful or distracting in terms of your project.

Best guess I have is, that it is used to "transfer" ( have no better term) either the content of a slide or single frame of a developed film to photo-paper or another slide. Since you mentioned that it stands in a dark room and deals with exposure time and it also kinda looks like a machin...

Re: A sort of return and a hard but fun old game.

Regarding the wrench, since there are varied types of enemies that do require you to use other weaponry (the cyborg midwife, assassins or other ranged types for example) it is not not that much op as it may appear, despite being a quite effective weapon for the entirety of the game. I also play it o...

Re: A sort of return and a hard but fun old game.

I kinda agree with you, Graphics is not that much of a sales factor me either. On the mentioned lack lull sections, true there is the constant enemy presence from re-spawn, but it is not entirely impossible to find the one or other relatively quite spot to tent to your equipment or listen to the log...

A sort of return and a hard but fun old game.

Well, it's been over a year since I have gone under and became a lurker. The thing to change that was "zero puctuations" video about System shock 2 being released on steam. My immediate response was quite literally "Fucking sold". Now, for those who might not know but system shoc...

Randomo showed me the way to his wither-fortress. Did die a quick death despite iron armor due to
multiple withers a general carelessness ;) .
Need to brush up my combat skills before going there again.
Should also prove useful when fighting the wither boss.

Was looking on that one you mentioned randomo.
I take the guess that it is pretty far out. Was walking way past some tunnel-section that looked like belonging
to a fortress.
Is it that the fortress you mentioned already or is it yet further on?
Logged out while standing at mikko's city portal.

Am on the search for a wither fortress, was following the road after mikko's portal but cannot seem to find it,
even after following it for quite a long time.
Basicly, can anyone direct me to an already exixting wither-spawning fortress.

Re: Welcome to Edolas (Server information)

I have managed to get a few cows and sheep so far. One thing I will say is, even though the despawn did hurt, it made me travel, fight and explore for a bit which was quite fun and refreshing. Also it allows me to experience the beauty of hc-sheep to it's fullest. The first two sheep I captured and ...

Unfortunately due to the passive mob despawn thing from earlier, my pens are empty and the dogs are gone.
Will be on for the next couple hours to restock my pens n suff.
