Steam Games Trade Depot
Every so often on Steam a game will be available as a bundle with extra copies to give out to friends. For instance, I bought Frozen Synapse on sale today ($8.49 instead of $24.99) and got a free additional copy to give away. I figured that I might as well post it here and see if anybody else has an...

In my old world, I went for a pretty slender fencepost-based one. Did a similar sort of thing this time around, but raised up the sails a bit, toned down the fences and put the sawmill underneath for a bit heftier base. http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd409/Speltz0000/2012-03-24_234259.png The o...

Re: HOLY SH*T! Scary Moments in Minecraft
I was wandering around filling up a map and had broken my sword and didn't have any tools or blocks or anything since it was just a quiet stroll. I was looking down at my map figuring out where to go next when I heard the Creeper hiss. Started running, and ran right into a hole about 4 deep and 2x2 ...

Re: Biggest FAIL moments in my minecraft history
Yeah, just had one last night. Spent a couple of hours clearing out an abandoned mineshaft and fighting off hordes of baddies, until my inventory was full of goodies. Decided to just tunnel straight up to get back to daylight rather than trying to find my way back through the maze of caverns and wha...

There's kind of an ongoing war going on between my hands. Left hand has the most scars, since I use the right hand for all the heavy work and the left one just holds whatever I'm working on in place.

Holy cow, you had maps AND friends? I just sat on my bed most of the time, listening to the alarm clock ticking away. Don't get me wrong, good times and all that, but a pal wouldn't have gone amiss.Gilberreke wrote:I actually forced all of mine onto my friends.

Starting with maze designs as a kid... Yeah, I did the same thing when I was a wee lad. But they were all pretty much the same thing: a hallway with a door at the end and one room off to the side filled with every kind of pistol, rifle, shotgun, sword, grenade, battleaxe...everything I could think ...

Triple Jump? Can sprint-jump twice up to a line of pressure plates connected to inverted redstone torches, and see how far past you can get. Would have to time beginning your jump so that you your third and final launch is as close to the pressure plates without touching them. Bonus points for 360'i...

Maybe iron nugget drops from Pigmen? From scraps of armour?
Edit: Or, the Pigmen might just rarely have some small armour like boots that then have to be melted down?

Boosting NPC XP drops with fear
Deepsniper and I chatted a bit about this idea in the Steam chat a couple of days ago, and I figured that we might as well throw it out in here to see if anyone likes it or has any ideas. As usual, I don't know if it's possible or how much work it would entail, but here it is. Seeing as Steve's real...

Great voiceover work. There's also one or two bits in here that are a bit gross, so the squeamish might want to give it a miss.
Edit: Oh, and the Governor of California at his finest. AUUGHRAR!

Great story, morv! It's pretty cool to hear different ideas for why Steve is doing his thing. I always figured him for a shipwreck survivor, but this scouting and base establishing angle makes for a way better backstory. Looking forward to what the future has in store, both in the story and the vide...

I'm looking for a seed with a good long ravine above ground, anyone have one? Oh, that seed I posted also has both a ravine right next to the NPC village at spawn, with the top completely exposed, as well as another one about 100 blocks away that is mostly underground except for a small circle that...

Re: Good BTW seed?
Well, just started a new creative mode world, and just threw 'ohthesexiness' into the seed generator, and think I might have found a gem. You start on a mountainside, with a small NPC village in view, and some lovely bays and mountain overhangs all around. There are also one or two waterfalls in the...

Just throwing it out there... Damien from the Omen? While it may not be worthwhile to stay with the movie completely, you could make a pretty cool boss mob around his character, in my opinion. For instance, maybe he could have a base or something in an empty NPC village, with a couple of his 'minion...

Re: Sleeping bag
At current, there is no way to safely sleep in the open. Granted, in the Minecraft world, that would be a ludicrous idea anyways, but sometimes it's nice not to have to build a small bunker when the night hits on those long journeys away from home. If I remember right, I think you can sleep out in ...
