Re: Working on a BTW addon

Your clarification is much appreciated!

I will update my posted item textures to relect this.

Thank you.

Re: Working on a BTW addon

To be honest, it is from Maplestory.

I figured that the icon for mead should be different from how potions look, but the bottle icons I originally made from stratch look like absolute crap.

I hope no one minds. If they do, I'll replace it.

Re: Working on a BTW addon

Here are the textures that I said I would add. Admittedly, the flowers aren't very diverse; I figured I'd just add them as an option, though Panda's flower variants are clearly better. Re: Working on a BTW addon

Conveniently enough, they'd be Doku-based and compatible. They'd fit right in with Battosay's texture pack. I'll probably post a few screen shots and .pngs's for some of the textures I use and made later this week. Just bear with me that, being Doku based, even the ones I made from scratch aren't te...

Re: Working on a BTW addon

The work with this addon is looking out to be fantastic, and I personally have always sought new mods that add candles and honey to MC ever since Nandonalt's beekeeping mod was discontinued. My hat is off to you sir! Whenever you choose to release the addon, I'd be happy to put out some 32x32 hd tex...

Re: Mass Effect 3

I fired it up for a few hours last night. Not as epic a beginning as ME2, but still pretty good. Granted, the start of ME2 was great since it took a very drastic turn in plot/character development, in other words... Killing and ressurecting the playable character in the opening sequence ... may be ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Abridged

That clip is no doubt funny, but I wouldn't call it their best. None the less, Takahata and Lanipator are defininitely the best voice talents on TFS, in my opinion. Seriously, the Ghost Nappa song and "Killing in the Nappa of..." are fantastic parodies, and Lanipator is like young Chistoph...

Re: Dragon Ball Z Abridged

I personally love Team Four Star's abridged series for DBZ, it gives me a sense of nastalgia mixed with a smart-ass since of humor that can only be acquired years after having watched the original show. For those of you who don't find it to your liking, that's perfectly understandable. If you didn't...

Re: cobblestone > gravel ''grinder''

I tried to extend on this idea by relating it to cobblestone accumulation (admittedly it was in the wrong subforum due to its strong BTB relevance),and FC shut it down expediently. I'm sure he was focusing on my idea of making a new block out of lots of cobble, but he seemed against the cobble to sa...

Re: An Inventive Outlet for Cobblestone

I understand your confusion, as I remained somewhat vague as to avoid violating the "don't suggest recipes for features" part of forum rule 2. Basically, what I personally was thinking was to use the anvil to transform a large grid (maybe the full 4x4?) of either smooth stone or cobble int...

An Inventive Outlet for Cobblestone

Considering the over abundance of stone and cobblestone one gets by late game vanilla Minecraft, which only reaches obscene levels when using the automations of BTW and especially BTB, I'd think a new way to churn through this resource is in order. I think a number of people on these forums would ag...

Re: Eureka!

Wow! Thanks for all the support guys! I had no idea the Lens would have this kind of reaction after all this time :) It had become the "focused redstone torch", and the DB a "Photovoltaic Redstone Sensor" I ditched the concept of "lasers" early on as not fitting in wit...

Thank you for taking note of that, just please bear with me when I say I wasn't trying to flame anybody or start a "whose idea was it first" argument. I was simply curious regarding a possible connection, maybe pointing out that w3(r4ft could serve as a resource to help flesh out the syste...

When I found the Lasermod by w3(r4ft a while back and watched the videos showing how it worked, I thought to myself, "Hey, this guy made a creative method of redstone signal transmission with light beams, and lenses have been a mentioned potential BTW feature for some time. I bet Flowerchild ha...

Re: Interesting New Mod

After playing the mod a bit, I should say that it isn't as fun as I thought it could be. The primary content added by the mod is its set of symbols and the runes used to enhance them. 1 - The Iron, Stone, Gold and Lapis symbols are redundant when using water channels, and their function for transpor...

Interesting New Mod

Anyone seen this new magic-oriented mod called "Thaumcraft"? http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/838839-100-thaumcraft/ I haven't gotten around to playing it, but from what I've seen, it looks like rather creative. I'll fiddle around with it later and give my opinion, for what it's worth. ...

I'm just going to throw an idea out here.

Bash me if you will... and you will.

Statuettes... there I said it.

I don't know how elaborate FC would be willing to get with the models, but it sounds awesome to me.

Re: Better Than Release?

I'll admit, I've been sticking to 1.8.1. If they are indeed that rare and require that much deliberate searching for them, then I can understand the desire to create an alternative method of reaching The End. But then one should pose the question: should one even focus on solving that problem when T...

Re: Better Than Release?

I wouldn't say they promote exploration very well anymore unfortunately. You can now use an Eye of Ender to locate the closest Stronghold, so they're more of a reason to go out and grind yourself some Ender Pearls than it is to blindly dig. Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't realized that Ender...

Re: Better Than Release?

Gilberreke and Mason11987 both bring up a good point. The End, being as empty as it is, is likely too big an issue to tackle right now. Waiting it out to see what changes Mojang makes to it post release seems like the best approach. The issues of how to automate XP collection for enchanting and inte...

Re: Better Than Release?

I can't say that I agree with the discontent with the method of reaching The End. As it stands, one needs three things in order to access that dimension: 1- Access to a Stronghold. Since they're rather rare, this promotes exploration, and I don't think anyone disagrees with this concept. 2- Access t...

Re: Perpetual Motion (The topic that keeps coming back aroun

I believe that, if one is going to argue that the Universe is an example of a perpetual mobile, one should refer to the notion of entropy mentioned by CreeperCommando. Granted, the Universe can be considered a closed system where the total mass/energy within it is constant, but due to basic thermody...

Re: Energy Future

The way I see it is, with current applicability of mechanical power sources between the Nether and Overworld, things are balanced. The windmill is relatively easy to get, can be used in both Overworld and the Nether, but in the Overworld it has the potential to break down in storms (deserts avert th...

Re: A glass cutter

While I do sympathize with the annoyance of losing glass blocks when you either mistakenly place one or need to refurbish a construct, there are two things that make an addition like this unnecessary. 1. Currently in 1.8, one can break them normally and retrieve them (though this is an accidental fe...

Re: Effigy: Mob Decoy

In regards to keeping world chunks loaded, I can understand the concern about performance drains. Regarding using these as mob magnets in traps or grinders, as well as being potential activators for such devices, I can understand the redundancy. One can achieve the same function with water channels ...
