Re: too many mods?

You need to install the Forge for BTW to work. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/514 ... aft-forge/

If all your mods are compatible with Forge I don't know.

Maybe I can explode your head with a design idea:
The challenge that comes with automation/transportation is what the mod is all about.

If you want it easy, go ahead and install BuildCraft already.

Re: Question: Nether portal workings...

Actually stoked flames work, (kinda confirmed using inv editors, placing the stoked flame into the portal).

As you said, the problem is, that the portal frame has to be completed before the flame is applied.

Oh my, here we go again. This has been proposed so often before. The current take on this is: No, playing with waterstreams and their constraints is fun. Replacing that will not happen. Re: IMPORTANT: Upcoming changes

As fas as I understood the new system, all BTW related textures go into an extra file. Editing this should be no harder than editing the current terrain.png plus all the texture files in the btwmodtex folder in the minecraft.jar. Actually, coming to think of it, this should make the distribution of ...

Hilarious.
This must be one of the best trolling sites i've ever seen.

The part with the "American way of going to McD's instead of growing ones own crops" cracked me up.

Re: Riveter's BTW re-texture requests

The Stone/Cobble combo looks awesome. I just have the feeling the stone texture is actually too smooth bright (little contrast to the brigtht wood might be good). Anyway, amazing what you came up with so far. Doors and windows look great as well. This really is something else. (Bear in mind I do not...

Re: Suggestion: Steel output change.

Steel was included in to the mod before there are many uses for it so you can accumulate masses of it. FC did the same with dung, tallow(still has no use) and hemp too.

I promise, you will need a lot of steel for the upcoming features. Be happy you get 4 for 3 iron. I certainly am.

Re: New World From Scratch [Long Term Project]

Go figure, something involving more complex AI proves to be hard to implement, again... November 20th was supposed to be the release party, wasn't it. 1.8 doesn't seem to be the release version from what I can tell. So 1.8 should be somewhat earlier than November 20th. Re: Seed popping out of the planter

TMI = TooManyItems, an inventory editor. Just to speed up testing. You don't have to use it in your other worlds. It is possible that Xie's farming mod is altering the way the vanilla seeds work. That may or may not be the reason why can't grow them in the planter. Another thing to check is if you c...

Re: Seed popping out of the planter

Oh yeah, more importantly you should copy your saves folder to somewhere else too.
I suggest you get TMI (or any other mod to edit your inventory) to quickly rebuild what you were trying to do. Also starting a new World just for testing stuff like that might be a good idea. ;)

Re: Seed popping out of the planter

I'll go on a limb here and say Xie's farming mod probably doesn't like vanilla seeds on Blocks other than hoed dirt.

Could you try the same without the farming mod to confirm it really is a bug with BTW and not a compatability issue.

Alright, last try before I go to bed. 1. Get a new minecraft.jar (delete bin folder, start mc launcer). 2. a) Do your MC patcher business, but don't add forge and BTW. 3. Install forge and BTW, by dragging the .class files and associated folders into the minecraft.jar. 4. Make the Meta-Inf folder in...

Did you install Forge by dragging .class files and folders into the minecraft.jar?

I don't see modloader trying to load it. Atleast not from the .jar. Remove the forge.zip from your mods folder as well, just to be sure.

And there goes my point, turns around and punches me in the face. Good Job, owning myself.

So another suggestion needs to be made to finally make string usefull (wool is such an impractical building material anyway, being flamable and all).

At least we can render feathers now to produce some glue.

Re: The BD Counter Adder module

So I was playing around a bit. You definitely don't want to build to a clock, that displays seconds. Timing in that display is gonna be glitchy as hell. Displaying 10 sec increments on the other hand should work fairly reasonable, though it's odd to display that information. I'd consider taking the ...

Nah, it's cool. I'm kinda curious what you guys might build with these new counting possibilities. I'm also wondering if one could build a clock display with Block Dispensers. It should be possible, although it might get iffy wiring all the BDs and especially only toggling the right ones. God, we ne...
