Re: [1.5.2][GUIDE] How-to install BTW w/ MCLauncher & MCPatc
So somewhere between setting up my initial "BTW" 1.5.2 profile and opening the launcher the second time after following the instructions (including modifying and saving the .json file) the "Use Version:" option gets reset to "Use Latest Version" in said profile. I've st...

Re: [1.5.2][GUIDE] How-to install BTW w/ MCLauncher & MCPatc
I got a "new" computer and installed MC via the official site's download link. Have always followed these instructions to the letter and never had issue, but now after going through the motions the game just launches as Vanilla. I have created a 1.5.2 profile and the name of that profile m...

Re: [32x]Conquest Texture Pack with Deco Add-On support
I see. I guess in the short-term, the solution for me is to make sure I've switched back to the vMC texture pack before logging out. Bit of a hassle, but worth it for this awesome TP :]

Re: [32x]Conquest Texture Pack with Deco Add-On support
I've been continually experiencing an issue with this texture pack; if I log off with it active, I get the Black Screen when I try to log back in, this persists until I remove the TP folder from my library.

Golden armor, weapons, and tools in BTW
I don't see much talk of golden armor, weapons, and tools in BTW since the introduction of Redstone Latches, and I'm interested to hear if anyone has found a niche for these items?

Experimenting with finding what my bare minimums are in terms of space and resources to get what I need for progression without limiting my fun too much. Also planning structures beforehand as not to waste time and resources in my survival world.

With a dramatic increase of bow usage, the vanilla arrow "bounce-back" visual glitch now much more of an annoyance.

Peasants/Farmers in Abandoned Villages
I recently found my first "peasant" in an abandoned village. I was stoked at the possibility of getting wheat sooner than expected so I made protecting him my top priority. I set him up in one of the abandoned buildings (which I fortified) and started gathering materials to trade with him....

Re: Show us your builds!
The recent changes to HCwolves cost me my pre-cauldron settlement in my most recent world, and I wanted a chance to experience HChoofsies in early-game, so I've begun planning out my first house in my next world. It's based on a viking pithouse and utilizes some of the design elements I've been buil...

Re: [SPOILERS] Hardcore Hunger for Wolves
I was a day's journey from my base at original spawn when I installed this update. I arrived home to find my dogs had turned feral and eaten all my sheep and chickens.
HChoofsies made me want to start a new world, and HCwolves has given me a good enough reason to do so.

Re: [SPOILERS!] "Hardcore Hoofsies" Spoiler Thread
This change makes crafting/acquiring a bow & arrows earlier on much more appealing.
I like the change; makes sense you'd want range weaponry to hunt the largest and most powerful prey in Minecraft.

I'm out of town atm.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with wolves in their base that haven't been fed in ages; has anyone logged in after updating to find their wolves immediately feral, or is there a grace period?

Translation: "I don't want the game to be more challenging/complex, I just want overpowered equipment that makes combat meaningless as quickly as possible."What I want is flexibility – modular components which can be tweaked to reinforce my place as nature’s downtrodden underdog.

Re: Show us your builds!
I've come to realize I tend to plan building projects that are too large for my tech level, which leads to me wasting more resources than I need to, and also dying more than I need to, so I tried going tiny for my next pre-cauldron settlement... http://i.imgur.com/zu0cxP0.jpg :edit: Come to think of...
