Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I thought they were going to use a user ID system of sorts, where every player has a unique ID that servers can ban against, and your username is nothing more than a nickname. Nothing functional is done against your nickname, only your user ID. At least, this is what I think Mojang is doing, I may b...

Re: Overviewer for BTW - Siding complete!
Nice! Glad you got it working.. With Visual Studio? Which texture pack are you using? I only test with the textures from the minecraft.jar for right now. But yeah you can also just put the file in with a dummy image (or the one from the jar).. I should probably remove things that are removed from B...

Re: Overviewer for BTW - Siding complete!
After mucking about with python packages for an hour or so, I finally managed to build Overviewer on windows and get it running. One thing that got me laughing though was 2014-03-27 10:22:54 E Could not find the file `textures/blocks/dropper_front.png'. Try specifying the 'texturepath' option in you...

For creating a whole new texture pack from scratch, you're doing amazing.

Re: High efficiency recipe: gate, crafting table & painting
Just in case you're still wondering. Fence gates do have a high efficiency recipe . http://puu.sh/6i6Rf.png And paintings didn't have their recipe changed. Notice how you have wool balls now instead of wool blocks. The painting recipe still needs wool blocks. You have to craft the wool balls into wo...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.89999999)
I started this MOD since the newest release, but after installed it, Minecraft runs so unstably(Sometimes it freezes a few moment ) even though I'm allocating an enough amount of RAM, and/or long time passed after generated. I remember 1.5.0(This also run very slowly). Is this bug? As far as I can ...

Depends on what you mean by "compatible".Xaedblade wrote:Hey panda! I love your texture pack!! just wondering if it is compatible with version 4.8999999c? cheers!
The texturepack will work just fine, but the new items will have default textures, and a few block models may have misaligned textures.

Re: Hardcore Nether Animals Discussion (Spoilers)
I'm wondering if that pigmen could be related to Hardcore animal changes... what does it do to pigs? Turns them into pigmen? We have flying sheeps, exploding chickens and atrocities-spawning cows. There might have been some pigs in that direction... I recall in vanilla MC, lightning could turn a pi...

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.891123)
I'm never opening another nether portal again... Meanwhile I'm going to start opening tons of portals and sending hundreds of animals through them! The whole pigmen around nether portal thing served as nothing more than a free golden sword once in a while, so I'm glad to see that gone. The drop rat...

Crucible recycling is not exhaustive.
I've noticed that a lot of items that contain metal do not have crucible recycling recipes. List: pulleys, saws, gimp suit, anchor, diamond ingot, iron door (missing gold from latches), golden apples and carrots, glistering melon, gear box, note block, dispenser, redstone eye, detector block, buddy ...

BTW adds the ability for snow to be on nearly everything including flowers and grass.
It would be nice if this addon would spawn snow on flowers and grass instead of having to wait for a snowfall to finish the job

Re: [1.5.2] [4.88/4.87] Biomes O' Plenty 0.0.2 - BTW Edition
I believe I found a bug. In what is apparently a volcano biome with harder stone and lava everywhere, the change to harder stone seems to be chunk based. Chunks on the border of the biome are either entirely lighter stone or entirely darker stone. This is particularly noticeable when a river cuts th...

Observation about eating food while on ladders
It strikes me odd that while walking, which doesn't really involve your hands, eating food causes you to slowdown, yet when you are on a ladder, which presumably requires your hands to climb up, you're able to climb at full speed while eating food.

Re: Panda's Dokucraft Texture Pack[BTW ver. 4.82]
Personally I think the furnace connected textures are terrible. Anything other than a lovely 3x3 furnace looks ugly and if, heaven forbid, I actually use one of the furnaces it totally borks the connected textures. That said, I'd still love to see more connected textures for actual terrain and vario...

Been getting a ton of stuff done and updated. Should be ready for the new release soon, but I wanted to get some opinions on changes I made to the ore and gem blocks. http://i.imgur.com/PyksS9S.png I'm a bigger fan of the older textures. These are nice too, but the "grooves" don't sit wel...

Re: Panda's Dokucraft Texture Pack[BTW ver. 4.81]
In the creative inventory there is not supposed to be a 2x2 crafting grid, yet your texturepack has one.
I'm also not sure what that odd spot with a question mark, over to the right of the crafting grid that shouldn't exist, is for.

Re: New Release! (BTW 4.69)
it's the smoothness! Not entirely sure how you can measure it. Well...you can't really. Frame rate figures are largely irrelevant other than for benchmarking. Either it feels good, or it doesn't. It's all well and good if a change gives you a couple of hundred FPS per second, but if you're stutteri...

Re: RTH Q&A thread
I'm mainly wondering what the balance of magic and science will be in Return to Home. Are you going for a really magical world with items and materials that have no real life counterpart? Or are you going for a more steampunk world with somewhat realistic materials and mechanisms? Or perhaps are you...
