Re: New Release! (BTW V4.8913)
Damn, my latest game spawned me near a desert village where i made my first home. I died, respawned near another abandoned village surrounded by taigas where i have my second village home with underground tunnels connecting buildings. With this update, i feel a bit of a cheater for making my home th...

Re: Hardcore Headwear SPOILERS
I am glad squids got upgraded from boat breaking speed bump hazard to...well this! Can witches spawn on land only? I had used a swamp as a safe haven just the other day prior to update. I found a bunch of shallow water with no nearby islands, dropped a sand block, and stood on it until sunrise whils...

Re: Early game after respawn
One of the factors that keeps me from exploring early in the game is the tendency for animals in loaded chunks to get eaten by zombies and spiders. If I hole up at night, usually a lot of the animals in the area have been eaten by morning, and it means that I'll have a harder time surviving when I ...

Re: Animal Suffocation Bug Info Thread
I was playing in SSP, trying to lead 2 chickens up a hill to my base. What basically what happened was one chicken glitched into the earth and was stuck 1 block down. I could not get it out of the dirt. Not by digging, not even going into water and coming back out could bring it back to surface. I h...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (week of May 27)
I've been loving the game in its current form and you definitely have reason to be proud of your work. I too have been pushing off various games in favor of BTW of late, games i have paid for in favor of something freely available. I had a similar experience with chickens, herding a few into a littl...

Re: BTW V4.72T: Hardcore Stratification test release
I played a bit last night on a newly created world. World gen took a little longer than usual but otherwise, my performance difference was not that noticeable. I love the strata. I was mining surface Iron and came to a point in a cave where the stratum changed. Prior to this change, I think I would ...

Sorry man, I had a brain fart and my eyes seemed to skip over the bug report section when I was looking to post. Maybe i was just too eager to post my subject line. I feel like i deserve piles for that.FlowerChild wrote:Check out the bug report section, and make a stone shovel for now.

Wood shovels on dirt are giving me piles
Hi all,
I was hollowing out a hole for the night and made a wood shovel to save my early cobble resources. The shovel dug up piles of dirt rather than a block. The same for sand. I havent tested this out on gravel as I havent come across any just yet.
Thanks,
Piter

Re: HCH is brilliant
Hardcore players fearing the night once again...these are the things that make me do a little happy dance :) It really does make me wonder how many of the people complaining about the difficulty are still trying to run around outside once the sun goes down. It really just isn't something that I wan...
