Re: Enderman trap

Anyway, how do I build an effective ender-trap in the End? The key point is to make a bridge about 180 blocks long away from any unlit landmass and make sure said bridge is lit up like a christmas tree, thus giving you a region in the "end" where nothing can actually spawn unless you want...

Re: Don't Starve

For a game that is still classed as in being in the beta stage of development it's awesome, I think the full release is touted for "Early 2013" Lacking in features a little but the client is rock solid to build features on. Client says "update is imminent" :D and there is a load ...

Jep VanillaMC bug see https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-679 and many other duplicate postings of the same issue.

When it happened to me I only moved spawn by about 1 biome, but as said relogging the client seems to fix it.

Re: What are you reading?

You may laugh at this ... Alice in Wonderland but reading it sparks your imagination. :) Life of Pi was a good read and a book I returned to when I noticed there was a film due out in mid December. I'm wondering how it will be narrated, it contains no dialogue as its basically just Pi's thoughts. Th...

Re: Personally Satisfying Aspects of BTW?

In my mind vMC gave us a good set of outputs such as light, sound and moveable blocks (pistons) but there is nothing on the input side to actually utilize them aside from BUD pulses. BTW builds on this and provides the ability to monitor and correct the world around you through various inputs, detec...

Re: My gearboxes keep disappearing

Umm that's odd, an axle over a flame will not burn, but gearboxes do. (you owe me a gearbox :D ) I thought that may be a way to resolve the fire issue.

How close were your hibachi to the gearbox? F2 (screenshot) is your friend here. :P

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.35)

Hats off again FC, nice one! One thing ... Going back a few versions to 4.22 changes as it's taken a while to filter through I suppose as we only play this map if most of us are online, but the decision you took in switching the hibachi to require elements instead of filaments and thus require blaze...

Re: Automatic night/rain skipper for creative mode

Good call Darah, I've been using a similar setup that executes "/difficulty peaceful" then "/difficulty hard" at midday every 3 Minecraft days (or 60 mins ish in real time) which despawns alot of the trash loaded in the map and seems to make the game more stable ie goodbye to the...

Re: Best intro to automation?

So basically, what is the best thing for somebody just starting to automate things to begin with? I think it's best to decide what resources you actually need first and concentrate on those. However I would suggest a sugar cane or hemp farm as a good starting point - they are easily made with a cou...

Re: Sharing useful builds that get the job done

Witchy Farms Finally managed to generate a hut in a legit world. Yay! http://i.imgur.com/efSwo.jpg I don't understand the spawning mechanics of these, the best explanation I can come up with is that there is some invisible flagged block in the hut that will spawn witches in a certain block radius, a...

After Battosay's "STFU animals" suggestion thread a few weeks back I started looking at sound in MC as it's peed me off from the beginning, why do cows "moo" every 2 seconds? Every time I went home it was like a rendition of "Old McDonald had a Farm", quit the inane noi...

t - (just the single character t in lower case) is handy dandy for testing out Witch mob spawner mechanics / hut modifications as it puts you within a few paces of a Witch hut. If you can't quite see it from where you spawn just run towards the sun on the horizon. Generated MC 1.4.2 / Normal biomes....
