Woot! Thanks heaps FC - this looks awesome. Should we still hold off on getting villagers, or will any further changes not need newly generated areas?

Nah, I'm pretty sure they're running 1.6.4 - if you look at the terrain gen, you've got a jungle next to a desert next to a swamp, which doesn't happen in the most recent versions on vanillaTsugumi Henduluin wrote: Zisteau mentioned they were running a 1.7 pack.

MCF would probably not approve of "you've got a massive spider-cock stuck in your throat" status effect. Friggin' sigged :) On topic, These Jungle Spiders are an absolute pain in the arse - taking away your health, and then giving you Food Poisoning so you can't eat to regain the health y...

Re: Jungle balance discussion (SPOILERS)
Yep, Jungles are now officially no-go areas for me, at least until I've got a sword and armour of some description.
The changes are definitely working though - what used to be a pretty darn safe biome is now, in my opinion at least, one of the most dangerous. It hurts so good...

Wow! I'll admit, I was pretty damn eager to have a biome add-on for BTW, but for the BOP team to put out a version this fast is freaking awesome!
Thanks so much!

Re: Trap Doors: Have I gone too far?
Yeah, the changes to the Trapdoors have definitely broken my cow farm, (to a point where it would require a complete rebuild to regain that functionality, because pistons take up way more space than I had available when building it :/ ), as well as breaking a couple of other automated systems, but t...

Re: Let's Play with Flowerchild
I'll admit, this has been the first BTW Let's Play I've actually watched, and not just so I can see Flowerchild done in by his own creations. The insights this provides to how FC designs and the reasoning behind such major changes as HC Spawn et cetera is just plain cool to actually have verbalised ...

Re: Better than Horses (No Alligators please)
Personally, I think Pack mules would be fine, if you were unable to ride them, and they had the same level of upkeep required as horses. i.e., you walk around with your pack mule on a tether, and can carry an extra chest's worth of resources, or you ride a horse, and get to move around faster - maki...

Re: What mods are people still using with BTW?
CraftGuide, Risugami's Armour Stands (don't really play well with mod armour, but having old suits of armour around just looks cool), Karob's Big Trees, and I was using Inventory Tweaks (can't stand messily organised chests) but the original developer has passed it on to a couple of others, and they...

Cannot build new Nether Portals in BTW 4.66/MC 1.5.1
Essentially same as title. Updated to 1.5.1/4.66, built an Obsidian frame for a nether portal same as always, used Flint and Steel on it, which lit it on fire for a split second, and then went out, without creating the portal.

Re: Vanilla Feature court - Session 1 - Analog Redstone
I've played around with the analogue redstone, and to be honest it seems like an extraneous feature, tacked onto the pre-existing mechanics. As has been previously stated, the real interesting features (for vanilla users at least) are the hoppers/droppers/comparators, not the differing lengths of re...

Re: Graphic novels/comic books - give a noob some recommenda
Not so much a graphic novel as a webcomic (but it's published in paperback form, honest!) Schlock Mercenary, by Howard Tayler. Humorous sic-fi mercenaries romping around the galaxy. It's also completely clean :) He's been posting one strip a day for 12 years or so (can't quite remember), with extra-...

I've been using this design for lamps in my main world (set in a valley in a large biomes extreme hills biome).
