Re: Minecarts connection, like in Railcraft or something.
I am not opposed to better and more useful minecarts. I just was trying to help you think through it and justify your suggestion. The issue here is its fairly obvious and it wouldn't surprise me if FC already has done stuff in mind for minecarts especially considering the coming hopper carts. Yeah,...

Re: Minecarts connection, like in Railcraft or something.
...adding fun and variaty. One could build hi-tech powered stations, or could stick with old-school steam carts, with that old mine shaft feeling. Phrased this way, I think the idea has some merit. However, you're original post doesn't seem to reflect this idea. Oh, I'm changing my idea and editing...

Re: Minecarts connection, like in Railcraft or something.
Like I said, connecting with furnaces is a lot easier Wasn't it the main idea of the whole mod originally? ;) Btw isn't really about making things easy. so btw isn't so much about fixing mojangs stuff as it is about getting the most functionality for the time invested. Isn't it the thing? Instead o...

Re: Minecarts connection, like in Railcraft or something.
Copying features from other mods like you suggest is not something FC would do. This feature in some form exists in EACH mod about carts/trains e t.c. So I don't think there's an "original source", or it is impossible to find. This can be done better, faster, and more reliably by building...

Re: Minecarts connection, like in Railcraft or something.
Why? What can't you do in the game because you don't have this feature? Always explain why a suggestion is worth the effort of adding it. How would you use this to do something new or more than you can now? Without this feature in the game I can't dwell extremely deep and far in my mine shafts, bec...

Minecarts connection, like in Railcraft or something.
Before I sticked to BTW I always had Railcraft mod just for one thing- connecting minecarts in aline one by one and right-click them with it in order to make or remove a connection. For example, you place them in order: chest minecart- normal minecart- furnace minecart, connect them, get in the midd...

Re: Water for cooking in pots and cauldrons maybe?
It would definitely break exisiting builds. Maybe the damage could be minimized by letting the pot get filled by a waterstream on top, but this would contradict your goal to add a manual challenge. Your idea about water streams can be compilated with manual challenge if cauldron will be filled like...

Re: Water for cooking in pots and cauldrons maybe?
And regarding the more realistic part, all the vanilla cooking recipes were done in the furnace before without any water, needing water makes only sense for stuff like colouring wool or tanning leather. Well, that's not quite like that. I always thought that in a furnace you bake food, and in cauld...

Water for cooking in pots and cauldrons maybe?
The issue is, pot and cauldron with nethery stuff becomes a perpetuum mobile, which I find boring. What if make then require water to cook? So, you have to fill the thing with a bucket of water, and when pot is heated water slowly starts boiling away. When it riches zero all food inside will burn an...
