And I'm glad I wasn't the only one making a comparison to Noah's arc (sort of) in my head after this.

Re: Pumpkin Lore
I do rather like how they implemented building the wither, and in a way it kinda fits into BTW lore (to me at least). If the utility golems were somewhat similar, I'd enjoy them quite a bit more. Who wouldn't want to stick a severed Testificate head onto a pile of iron blocks? It'd still need a reas...

... *sigh* The server I play is trying to find a new mod. Apparently hardcore beds is too much. Never mind the fact that we already have nether trails to everyone's bases.

Re: New Release! (BTW V4.20)
Oddly enough, beds encouraged me to spend more time in the Nether. Half of the people on the server I play are afraid of the dark, so every 10 minutes it was bedcheck >_> Ended up hanging out in the nether more often than not due to how annoying those got. I welcome the arrival of hardcore beds, eve...

Re: Design Discussion: Gear Box Placement
I tried out the reversed placement for a while, but I preferred the default placement. It just feels more natural for me to build my gearbox chains from device to power source. Trying to go from power source to device with reverse placement just seemed a bit off. ~snip~ This is the reason why the de...

Re: Upcoming design change: The Endermen are coming
Umm... ~snip~The second thing I thought of is a proper way to farm Endermen. As far as I know, these aren't farmable. But on the other side, the only thing they bring to us are those ender pearls which, once you've got enough, you don't need. However, farming Endermen would be way funnier than spen...

Flowerchild working on my favorite mob? I can not wait to see the outcome. *semi-related stuff* http://sargunster.com/btwforum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5538 I quite enjoyed it. That one about them losing their original block moving ability made me a bit sad though. It did remind me of when I let them...

Re: FlowerChild's Dev Diary (Week of September 17th)
Anything to do with the floating wood bit? Platforms floating in water perhaps? idk. The focus on the witch seems a bit too obvious, and I doubt FC would work on an incomplete vmc feature anyway. Also DAMN YOU! I must now go rewatch Monty Python because you've made me realize just how long it's been...

Interesting, it'd make silk touch/fortune picks useful on gold blocks. He's mentioned needing a sulfur source recently as well. Although he may have other plans for it already. Now just hydroxylate the sodium of the guanidinium and we have a potential salt source. I think i see where this is going n...

Upside down slab ceilings? Unlikely that they'll be able to hang from them, and it'll still be too low for endermen to spawn.

It'd be interesting if they're anything like that Halloween mod that was on the front page last year. Re: Morvelaira's News Compilation
So apparently the new mob dinnerbone has been planning is a witch. I wonder how it'll spawn. It'd be neat if they had little shacks in the middle of nowhere, but of course that'd make it a bit difficult to find them in worlds that have already been explored a lot. "Nathan Adams Finished some be...

Ah I haven't read this for a few years, I do remember thoroughly enjoying it (I'm a sucker for zombies) Gotta find a new copy so I can read it again. Re: FlowerChild's Dev Diary: Week of September 2nd
I only really use broad head arrows when I'm going to slay the ender dragon. For normal gameplay, power IV and fire aspect on a composite bow is enough to kill pretty much any mob with one hit, so I don't really see the need to use my steel on arrows. I suppose in anarchy play that'd be different, a...
