Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
forge's environment is becoming increasingly hostile towards modding, though I don't want to elaborate on it too much (as it would be fairly off-topic here, and probably just devolve into politics and bannings). Based on my experience trying to use it so far, though, the low 1.7 mod count is only p...

I'm going to be honest and say that i have played TFC a couple of months before i began playing BTW. I liked TFC and its style alot, however, i couldn't bring myself to play it anymore because of the...

Thanks for sharing, was hilarious.
The best part of Attack on Titan is the intro music, I mean really "We are the hunter's they are the prey"? Yea, sure more like wishful thinking...

Well, that's not the only reason I pushed solar up the tech tree as it also gives probes a finite lifespan which I think is sorely missing in order to make some form of efficiency in flight planning a thing :P Plus, when did NASA actually start commonly using solar panels on missions? My understand...

Re: Q: Don't Starve complete?
Hmm, I am not sure that I have ever felt that Don't Starve had obvious loose ends.. Like FC said, Caves design does feel out of place, but I can't think of anything that feels incomplete. Caves are more unpolished then incomplete IMHO. They just feel like an odd branch in the game. They might have f...

I actually really like this kind of emergent gameplay, as it shows a sort of competition between predators, which you could never see in vanilla. The environment in BTW is definitely way more interesting than vanilla just because things happen around you, and not everything revolves around things y...

I dont know about that, I've always thought the Minecraft glass texture was very "minecrafty" and almost could have been the minecraft logo as much as the grass block. But I do see your point, the texture does look weird compared to staindedglass. I agree, but I think they could go with m...

I think I'd be a lot more impressed if the block textures meshed better with the Level-of-detail shenanigans....it takes away from the presentation a lot. Yea, I found that nauseating, And his tree's look odd. FC might be right, those Voxel look like an odd size compared to the player. But it's har...

FC, I have a suggestion, In place of your FCAddon code, use Java Simple Plugin Framework . I have been hesitant make any suggestions. In the beginning, I find two blocks of Packed Earth stacked on top of each other, work great.
Something to think about is having a landmark that stands out from the blocks around it.

The last point I want to address is the easy pressure plate systems that Morm mentioned: honestly, I've always hated those builds, to the point of getting rather ticked off when people have installed pressure plates on my doors in SMP. I've talked before about how door building is one of the things...

This week I've been playing with the new launcher too.
It should be trivial to create a tool to automate installing a new mod profile.
This weekend I was thinking of whipping something up, then checking how hard it would be to submit a patch to add that functionality to mcpatcher.

I just wanted to publicly extend my thanks to nmarshall23 who just PM'd me the solution to getting rid of mobs being afraid of minecart rails. Re: Vanilla Feature court - Session 1 - Analog Redstone
I'm on the fence. On one hand it would be nice to separate out circuit Logic and interaction with the world. Mean that logic gates have On / Off states. But actuators might have a threshold of signal, before they activate. And sensors might give analog signals. Some examples: weak input signal means...
