Re: Ramp-up Difficulty in Better-Than-Wolves
This particular two go against one of the principles of the mod. - open nether portals adds small chance for any zombie, skeleton, or spider to become a pigman, wither skeleton, or blaze; more open portals increases chance - open end portals increases enderman spawn rate They kind of remove the need...

Re: Grinding netherrack doesn't actually infect animals (and maybe never did?)
Without having actually tested it nor having checked the code. I always assumed the dangerous part was filtering the ground netherrack without using urns or powering the hoppers. The effects on the player when grinding are just the result of the terrible screams, not hellish possesion.

Re: Removal of incredibly easy-access to cheats
I kind of miss him, even if i rarely interacted with him. Hope he is doing ok. I still have the anniversary video download on my computer. The one i didn't get in time that i also really miss is the animal farm one. In general, all the teasers and trailers were really full of personality. It was suc...

And to add a bit to this. Even Flowerchild said that using out of game solution to fix out of game problems wasn't the incorrect thing to do. So Even strictly following Flowerchild's vision, the cheat option would still be there.

Re: Issues with Mining Charges
I don't think it's a bad idea to keep that level of terraforming power gated by the end. You can use glowstone in a pinch, but needed enderstone for mass production doesn't look like a bad idea. In the end there has to be at least some reason to go to the end.

An idea for temporary chunk lodaded ares after Hardcore spawn. They last until you reach the original spawn or get a new Hardcore spwan.

Re: New Release! (BTW CE v1.0.0)
Both. Personally I think it fits very well with BTW's philosophy of providing tools not solutions, and I never really understood what FC's reason was for disabling it. It also provides an elegant solution to the issue of full hoppers locking up dispensers below them. The reasoning for the split of ...

Re: The Potion Stand Sucks
I would say there's already a good solution for this. Use multiple brewing stands. One for each ingridients and move the bottles arround. That way you can shift click them. And having multiple working at the same time also makes it faster.

Re: Hiracho's Fatty Foods Add-on
If i remember the discussion about the food changes and fat. The objective was to keep the player mindful of what he is eating and avoid over eating, because vanilla incentiviced eating as soon as you are missing halg a hunger unit. With the added bonus of the few first layers of fat being a buffer ...

Re: The state of Automated Animal Breeding
... To do that, since there's 20 minutes in a day and the decay timer sends a pulse every 5 when the item despawn, you have to count to 4 pulses (either with RS NOR latches or using a turntable and pulsing it so it rotates only once per pulse), and that's the only slightly complex part of the setup...

I don't know what these recent events you mention are, but i just want to thank you for the obscene amount of hours your mod has entertained me. It has been a wild ride and a lot of fun. I have not been here from the very begining, but it was close to it and seeing the mod evolve from a simple redst...

Re: Issues with Mining Charges
I think mining charges turning gravel into sand was never a thing, a hopper with a wicker filter will do that. At least looking at the Change Log i find references to mining charges turning cobblestone into gravel, but nothing about turning gravel into sand.

I used them from time to time for thing like crafting rope. But i wouldn't miss them that much if they got axed. But i never used diferent anvils with diferent permanent settings of moulds.

Invader Zim Movie
It's on Netflix. I never watched the show when it originally aired, instead I watched it fairly recently. I think it wasn't even aired here on my contry. And really it's a shame i missed it, I enjoyed it a lot. Now, after a quite some talk of a movie about it, is has been finally released on Netflix...

Another thing I didn't see is padded armour wich you can do as long as you have plenty of fabric and whool and is a good leather replacement at that stage of the game

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Rusty Cage, an independent musician.
There's a bit of everything, from rock to children music parody. But everything has depressing and grim undertones.
