Re: A Message For The Community
Hats off for making these difficult decisions man. I think mental health comes first, so I support you in any decision you make to keep your head healthy. I've been a kind of quiet observer on these forums for a long time, because for me this place served as the ignition for my career - I always fel...

Re: RPG by Committee! Suggest your feature today!
Haha! I came out of retirement to comment on this. I love little games like this - reminds me of something like cookie clicker, it just keeps getting more and more involved. Finding the tentacles was fun! Took me a good little while to figure out what to do with them. It was worth it.

Re: I feel the need to pimp this LP
Hearing "I'm not gonna lie, did you not hear the howling of the banshee out there? WE'RE DOOMED" was enough to bring me out of lurking. That was truly epic. Definitely made a subscriber outta me.
Re: Anno 2070
Ah thanks, found the thread. Sounds like the base game will be plenty.

Haven't played in a while, and probably won't get enough time to devote to playing with these awesome changes, but I think I promised a donation a while back so I just sent one :)
Anno 2070
I'm about to buy this thing, and I know some of you on these forums were/are big fans of this game. I'm just wondering what DLC/expansions or what have you I should buy as well, in order to get the best experience.
And oh yeah, hi everyone! :)

Re: RTH Q&A thread
This is all very exciting! I still lurk these forums from time to time, though I've had a waning interest in MC lately, so I haven't been playing all that much. But I just wanted to say this: Flowerchild, your ability to stick to your guns and just generally stay true to your ideals is what, in my m...

Re: musing on RTH
All the talk about the possibility of 8-bit metadata is getting my inner nerd excited (does that sound as dirty as I think it does?) I know at this point we don't know for sure if it's even possible. But I can't help but imagine the possibilities... Take dirt. With 8-bit metadata dirt could have so ...

Oh my, I was unaware of this software, but it looks awesome! I had still been using Magic Workstation for playtesting, but this looks much better. Is it able to play Commander? (that and modern are the only formats I touch these days)

Re: Dwarf Fortress stole my soul
hehe, yeah I recently decided to take the plunge into DF. My most recent fort had an interesting beginning* I think: So I have this dwarf named Steve. That's going to be relevant later in the story, so keep Steve in mind. He's just a lowly carpenter, not much going on there. I've been having my dwar...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 27th)
I'm for Total Conversion (fuck my worlds, I would be genuinely excited to start a new one given this option). I probably don't have anything constructive to add that you haven't heard or thought of already. So I'll just say that I trust your judgement as a designer, whichever path you choose. I thin...

Re: Panda's Dokucraft Texture Pack [BTW4.34] CTM HOLY SHIZZ
Oh Kaos, that's so nice looking. Would it be possible to provide a download link? It's so perdy and I want to use it. No offense to Panda's textures, but I want these ones a bit more. I don't know why people seem to think I actually *made* any of these textures. All the textures pictured there are ...

Oh I've made quite a few changes, mostly mixing yours and Battos TP. This is all just personal preference, I love your TP and Batto's. I changed tables a little bit so they tile differently then other wood (so I could use them as borders and things in floors): http://i.imgur.com/rWz8f.jpg I swapped ...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of November 12th)
Yeah, wow. I'm not sure what to think about this. I generally try to assume that everything Jeb and Dinnerbone and all of them are doing is on the up and up, but these design decisions and "bug fixes" are starting to pile on such that it's starting to look like laziness on their part. That...

Re: Mobs not dropping items they've picked up
Ah, I see it now on the list. "zombies can pick up items while dying"
Thanks man. I guess I don't have to worry about this once 1.4.4 is out (should also see a productivity boost to my drop trap, I'd think). :)

Mobs not dropping items they've picked up
From the v4.31 change log: Changed mobs so that they'll drop any carried equipment regardless of whether they are killed by the player or another source. I'm not sure if I'm reading that correctly, but it seems like that should mean if a mob is able to pick something up, then when we kill it it shou...

Hmmm... there was some blue lines inside the part that was supposed to be transparent. I guess I must've done something to it after I posted that screenshot. Anyway downloading now to check out the new bloodwood and concentrated hellfire blocks :)

Re: Isabella II BTW Addon [WIP] [MC 1.4.2] [BTW 4.32]
So I was messing around trying to see what I could do with some of the textures myself (I'm no artist, as it turns out), but I did manage a decent looking light block: http://i.imgur.com/XvLuk.png An in-game shot: http://imgur.com/c20SH Fits well and gives the lights a little variance, which is nice...

Re: Beginner to BTW: Hardcore Buckets?
HCB isn't that complicated, man. It sounds like you're over thinking it. It's default to on, so if you're going to do an LP, I would suggest leaving it on. It leads to more interesting and aesthetically pleasing construction anyway. Start learning to dig channels until you get to screw pumps, and ev...

I don't really read manga. But recommend away, I don't mind.
Anyway, I settled on Baccano last night. It's really good so far, I'm liking it quite a lot. Thanks for the recommendations everyone :)
