Re: Validity of BTW 'exploits'
I think I understand fearofshots point with my own experience. When I posted about alternative ways of using lenses, finding them perfectly logical in my understanding of their mechanics, you rather quickly got annoyed by it. When I found the mechanical energy loop 'exploit', it was clearly not an e...

Re: The Chase vs The Catch - Preferences in Games, Films, Bo
I'm probably not as much into the chase as most of people here. I won't search by myself too long what the last secret addition FC made in his mod is and I'll soon prefer to read the spoilers thread or the wiki when I'll need or want to know. One of the Final Fantasy that I liked the most was n°9 be...

Re: My single problem with BTW.
Harnessing/enslaving souls has always been a part of this mod's tech-tree, right from the start man. This isn't new. I think what might be happening is that people are beginning to run out of internal justifications about what it is they're doing, and I'm definitely cool with that. Well, if you don...

Re: What if sea level was at 128?
If the main interest of the idea is to have large deep oceans to explore, we can also forget the title for a moment and consider the possibility of having oceans going down to bedrock or something like that. With the right terrain generator and some added equipments to explore the abysses, that coul...

Re: Giant mushroom cap decays when trunk cut
I would tend to think those people don't "automate" the building of such houses. Like by placing saws prior to the growing of the mushroom, and then having to remove those saws in order to, well, actually use the space of those houses.
or would they ?

Simple question to jehanum before going into details : would you have a problem with the idea of playing directly from a memory stick ? (no synch needed in that case)

Re: Phase 5?
I'm thinking FC said with the last major release that he was delaying the release of some kind of xp-storage device to a later date, and that he had previously intended it to be nether-pottery. But, you know, just a guess... What do you know? :) Wasn't this the guy who suggested placenta and kept s...

Okay, thanks for those links.
Like FC said in this very quote, that's not what he was working on. So did he change his route during the 10 days or so between this quote and the thread about those 4 unique places ? It's possible, yes. Not certain, I'd say.

Re: Phase 5?
In any case, there is something that seems obvious : those 4 points will most probably never be loaded at the same time, whether they are in different dimensions or in far away chunks. I wonder then if those different properties would or could interact with each other. If they are meant to, I see 2 ...

Re: Phase 5?
snip with this argument and FC talking about the 4th update being home. this makes me think the 3 locations are the overworld, the end, and the nether with "home" standing out as the new one. Except, if I'm not mistaken, some old worlds like FC's one have no ender portals and therefore ca...

Re: An important hint on what's to come to help you prepare
It can't be 3 End Portals, as they're all the same. Well, 3 different enchanted pickaxes may look the same yet have different properties. Anyway, my first thoughts about "4 different unique places" went to : - overworld spawn point - nether > the place you'd get to from the overworld spaw...
