I recently found out that if a player walks into a lens beam, a Buddy Block won't detect the beam being interrupted. But it will detect the beam being interrupted by a block. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but after discussing it with a member in IRC, I thought it'd be best to post a bug repor...

Try Dwarf Builder if you use a mac.
