Re: Java question
What I'm wondering is if Java provides a means to call a super method *two levels* (or more) above the current one in the inheritance hierarchy. In case you might be willing to mess with bytecode, the JVM actually supports this without classloaders or runtime bytecode transformers. For backwards co...

That works very well. Those of us who are not quite so rich can use a pair of detector blocks for the trigger.

Re: Bellows blow different items different distances
Dry Paratroopa: I was actually thinking that if feathers moved 1/2 blocks per blow, wheat moved 1/3 per blow, and iron moved 1/4 per blow for example. Then you'd need to blow twice to get the feathers into a first hopper, then a mechanism to release the ball of items to a different bellows/hopper m...

Re: Sun-light blocks
If it's hopeless, I'll mention a bit of fakery to get a similar appearance - sunlight passes through lit light blocks, so you can cap the bottom of a skylight with them. Feeding power from the side with a repeater lights up two blocks, so it could be four wide if it's recessed. (you'll see how I not...

That's an excellent kiln. When I saw the first picture I was wondering how it had enough bricks around to cook, but on reflection I guess it's for the best you can't walk in while it's baking!

This is fantastic, even down to the subtitle on the texture pack selection screen. The skeletons are genius! I was wondering what was up with the new bone icon, and then night fell. The light blocks and lapis blocks are especially nice. The platform texture inspired me to finally put in an elevator ...

I was about to post something similar, but talking more generally about adding alternate recipes that take advantage of shift-clicking. I share some of your feelings, I did not even post so when I donated. This is about FC, not me, so no reason to be loud about it. But then again Sarudak does have a fair point. Quite. Some celebration and maybe a bit of a bandwagon is better for everyone than an empty thread, even if I'm a bit shy ...

I hardly know how to use most of Eclipse, and it still seems very helpful. MCP sets things up for you, so you just need to open the right directory when it starts up. The right-click menu's options for cross-referencing declarations and uses is great for understanding how things fit together. Also, ...

Did you verify it for yourself? The thing about extending axles was what walker claimed was the reason you couldn't place waterwheels.
The thing about turning axles after placing the wheels was reported before Dave even made his post, and is listed as fixed in 1.2.5.

A cement-based stone generator?
Is this a thing that should not be? http://i.imgur.com/J0ft4.jpg The source block is kept fluid by redstone current, a block is placed to cut the column off from the source, once it solidifies the block dispensers grab the stone, then the flow is unblocked and the cycle begins again. Right-click can rotate axles with a waterwheel or windmill
If you right-click the axle supporting a wheel with an empty hand,
the axle will change direction but the wheel stays in place in its
original position.

I often end up running a saw like that for a bit when I'm starting a new world. If it is an exploit, I've probably benefited from it a time or two, though I've only noticed it rain during that time a few days ago. Interesting discovery. This is less a suggestion and more of a bug report. I'd repost ...
