Processing normal leather inside a Mill Stone removes any residual flesh and blood that could cause the leather to decompose with time. This produces scoured leather, which can be processed in a cauldron with bark and dung to produce Tanned Leather. Much like leather and Tanned Leather, units of scoured leather can be cut into pieces of cut scoured leather using shears and rendered into glue using a stoked cauldron. Scoured leather can not be crafted into armor, books, clothing, or other leather products.

Keep in Mind

• Scoured Leather can be cut into pieces before being tanned. It takes both pieces for the tanning process to occur in this case, and the end product is cut tanned leather.
