The Dragon Orb contains the Soul of Life's victims. It is dropped when an animal or a monster is killed by anything other than the player. This means that, unlike vanilla Minecraft, you do not have to mindlessly land the killing blow on a monster to create an XP farm, since mobs will drop experience in a shape that allows you to use or store it regardless of how it was killed.

The Dragon Orb needs to by filtered by a Hopper using a Soul Sand filter to turn into regular XP form.

Properties

  • Drops when a monster is not killed by the player (fall, fire, suffocation, Saw, etc.
  • Can not be picked-up by the player.
  • When filtered by Soul Sand, over a Hopper, turns into XP.
  • Dragon Orbs contains same amount of experience the mob would have dropped if killed by player.
  • The Hopper will hold the XP as long as it is unpowered.
  • The XP is stored in the Sould Sand filter itself, not in the Hopper's inventory.
  • The Soul Sand filter can only hold up to 100 XP, after what the Dragon Orb will just flow unaffected over the Hopper
  • Can be stored in a Vessel of the Dragon
