Coal (and the equivalent Charcoal) is a brittle, black and highly flammable substance primarily used to craft crude torches, or as a fuel for campfires and brick ovens. It can also be ground in a Mill Stone to create two piles of coal dust, which is a component of Soulforged Steel.

Coal is mined from coal ore with a pickaxe, and charcoal is made by firing a wood block in a kiln.
